China Trade Ship Portrait of the Helen Mar. Dated 1869. An oil canvas painting of the bark Helen Mar of Baltimore under sail. A description on the bottom reads: Bark Helen Mar Wm. Weston Commander at Sandy Heads Calcutta May 2, 1869. In a period molded gilt frame. Sight size 26″ high by 36″ wide. Frame overall 30″ high by 40″ wide. Restored and lined. Helen Mar was built in Baltimore in 1855.
