William and Mary high chest. Early 18th century. Possibly made in Rhode Island. Maple with chestnut secondary wood and other mixed woods. Two-part construction. (8) drawers flat top three-drawer base with turned trumpet legs, a stretcher base, and ball feet. 69 1/4″ high by 40″ wide by 21″ deep. It has an old refinished surface. Condition shows extensive restoration to the base and replaced brass hardware.
