19th c. whale skeletal bone double swift with turned polychrome cup mounted on an exotic wood / mahogany sewing box. The box is dovetailed and decorated with five whale skeletal bone stars and diamond inlays, turned whale skeletal bone bun feet and applied becket-style handles. Box 4.5″” H x 11″ L x 7″ D; Overall height 10″ with 6″ slats. Old repair to lid and minor abrasions. Overall good condition.
