“The Last Words and Dying Speech of Robert Young” printed broadside by the Printing Office Worcester. Young was executed on March 11, 1779 for the rape of the 11 year old child of Jane Green in Brookfield, Worcester County on September 3. At the top there is a detailed engraving of the hanging. There is an account of Young’s wild escapades in England and Canada while in the British Army, and finally in Massachusetts. Sight size 6 1/2″ x 14″, with the frame it 7 1/2″ x 15″. Shows a 6″ x 1″ repair to the right margin and a 1 1/2″ tear to the lower left corner.
