Early 19th century. Probably English. Walnut. Top crest has carved anchor, crown and tridents. Eight turned spindles and turned legs. 31″ high x 23″ wide x 21″ deep. Shows old repair to back, age separation in seat and small hole in seat. Old finish, probably original. Provenance: From the estate of Alan Gaines of A & A Gaines Antiques, Newport, Rhode Island.
