C. 1920. A rare smaller size. Decorated with a red and white stripe. Remnants of label from Italian Line steamship REX. Has initials “G.A.” on the side (probably Gordon Auchincloss, Dublin NH). Marked #078721, 70 Champs-Elysees, Paris. Overall very good condition, handle detached. Later added felt interior lining. Signed on the lock. 21″ h x 21-1/2″ w x 8-1/2″ d.
