Federal style with engraved classical designs, wreaths, garlands and shields. Includes: 18″ x 27″ handled tray, 13″ x 8 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ kettle on stand with wooden handle, 10 3/4″ high x 9 1/2″ wide coffee pot with wooden handle, 7 1/2″ high x 9 1/2″ wide tea pot with wooden handle, 8 1/2″ high x 6 1/2″ wide chocolate pot with wooden handle, 5″ high x 5″ wide handled creamer, 5 1/2″ high x 6 1/2″ wide double handled sugar bowl with cover, and a 3 1/4″ high x 3 5/8″ diameter waste bowl. Marked on base from Josephine Lippincott, Oct 1, 1912. Tray shows light surface scratching. Provenance: Wendall Davis, a Professor and Dean of the Engineering School at the University of Connecticut. From his uncle James Lippincott Goodwin. From Josephine Sarah Lippincott who married Junius Goodwin, the first cousin and partner of J.P. Morgan. Total lot weighs 332.24 ozt including wooden handles.
