19th century. Inlaid with exotic wood and abalone. Top section depicts an arched keystone and four playing cards featuring the four suits. Sides have hearts with arrows, starbursts and fish. Brass handle on top. Opens to reveal a compartmentalized interior, possibly for holding playing cards. Lock and key are working. 3 1/2″ high x 8 1/2″ wide x 6″ deep.
