German 800 silver yachting trophy awarded to the yacht Ingomar in the 1904 Kiel-Trauemunde Race in which the Ingomar won and defeated Kaiser Willhelm’s yacht. The Ingomar was owned by Morton Plant, American Railroad baron, industrialist, philanthropist, and yachtsman. Plant was a member of the New York Yacht Club. Large covered and footed presentation trophy in the Art Nouveau style. Unusual, stylized finial with sails. Both top and bottom marked 800. 24″ high, 9 3/4″ diameter.
