Large Georgian embroidery. Late 18th / early 19th century. Done on silk and linen in silk and metallic bullion thread. 71″ x 48″ wide. Shows minor fabric loss to right top corner, some small splits as well as edge fraying. Embroidery is done in couchwork and satin stitch. Foliate and hanging basket design. Backed in cotton for greater stability.
