Frank Warren Marshall (1866-1930, Rhode Island, Maine) Late 19th / Early 20th century. Oil painting on canvas board of a river scene. Signed lower right. Housed in a modern gilded Motyka frame. Sight size 8 1/2″ high by 12 1/2″ wide. Overall 15″ high by 19 1/2″ wide. Overall good condition. Frank Marshall was the art editor for the Providence Journal. He was also the instructor of drawing at the Rhode Island School of Design. He was a member of the Providence Art Club and the Providence Watercolor Club.
