Edward R. Sisson (1828-1919, New Bedford, Massachusetts artist) watercolor depicting a seaside village, probably Southeastern Mass. Signed lower right ER Sisson. Dated 1895. He was an instructor at Swain School of Design. Sight size 9 1/2″ x 20 3/4″. Overall size 21 3/4″ x 33 1/2″. The watercolor appears to be in very good condition. The matting has heavy tanning. The gesso shows numerous losses to gesso.
