19th century. Lift top opening to reveal a pewter compartment with engraved lid. Original key included as well as a bone caddy spoon. Overall floral and bird design on all sides, including interior of lid. 6″ high x 11″ wide x 8″ deep. Top shows cracking to lacquer finish; one side shows small area of loss to lacquer finish.
