Chauncey Ives pillar and scroll CT shelf clock, early 19th century, top section having 3 urn shape brass finials (original), broken arch pediment over rectangular door with bone escutcheon, painted reverse painted lower panel depicting a running dog, hand painted wooden dial with Patriotic gilt shields in the 4 corners, flanked by carved wooden columns. Time and strike movement. Supported by a bracket base. Retains its original paper label, lead weights, original brass pendulum and key. 31″ high, 16 1/4″ wide, 4 1/2″ deep. Condition: Currently working but not guaranteed. Dial shows some wear and paint loss, bras closing latch missing.
