Description

A lot of (3) bronze medals. To include: Benjamin Franklin by Augustin Dupre (1748-1833). Depicts a bust of Benjamin Franklin on the front and is dated 1784. On the verso it has Angel Lightning. 1 3/4″ diameter. The second, “the Piped Piper” by Karl Perl (early 20th c., Vienna). Depicts the piper in a jester outfit with rats dangling from it. He is playing the pipe and leading five children away. In the border below “Der Rattenfanger von Hameln”. Signed in field. 2″ x 3″. The last is by Karl Perl (early 20th c., Vienna) Austrian bronze. Circa 1920. Depicts a bearded man in boots, tunic, holding knife, bending towards seven little children who are pleading in despair. From Grimm’s Fairytale. It’s engraved “Der Kleine Daumling”. Signed lower right. 3″ wide, 2″ high.
