Circa 600-1500 AD. An impressive carved basalt pestle with exceedingly large head. The pestle shaft is three dimensional. Probably used to crush cohoba seeds and tobacco to be snuffed during supernatural rituals. 6 1/2″ h x 3 3/4″ dia. Good condition.
