Aaron Willard Shelf Clock. Early 19th century. Aaron Willard (1757-1844) eight-day time only, weight driven. Brass finial, leaf shaped crest, convex painted metal dial, reverse painted door marked Aaron Willard Boston, reverse painted panel classical scene, ending in brass animal feet. Mahogany case with original finish. 36″ high x 13″ wide x 6 1/2″ deep. Unknown working condition. Minor loss to fretwork. Comes with 1933 work receipt note mentioning the weight cord was replaced.
