Circa 600-1500 AD. Carved from Magnetite. The top of the pestle has a reclining human characterization with a indebted bowl on head, likely symbolizing a cohoba stand used to distribute the sacred drug during snuffing rituals. Lime was used to neutralize stomach acids and was mixed with cohoba or yopo. 3 1/2″ h x 2″ dia. Good overall condition.
