19th c. tooth with American eagle over oval rope enclosed vignette of Hope, often the symbol of Rhode Island (recto) and Massachusetts state seal with American Indian holding bow and arrow beneath a sword-bearing arm (verso). 4 3/4″ L x 2 1/4″ base width. Pronounced chip on tip.
