The document is mostly in Portuguese and pertains to activities in the area of Brazil and the isle of Saint Catherine. It bears the signature of Lemuel Wells, the US counsel for Brazil. 12 1/2″ by 8 1/2″. Good condition with some slight tanning on the rear. An 1838 cargo manifest of the schooner, William out of Dartmouth, Massachusetts with Mulford Smalley as captain. It was bound for the Pacific Ocean, Society islands on a trading voyage. 16 1/2″ by 13″. Good condition with light tanning. An 1865-1867 twenty-page account book for the Bark Elizabeth on a voyage to the Eustatius islands, Jamaica, Fayal, Azores, Canary Islands, Barbados and Saint Vincent. 8″ by 6 1/2″. Shows age-appropriate wear.
